SALESIAN COLLEGE STUDENT RECEIVED A PRESTIGIOUS AWARD FOR ENGINEERING

We are delighted to announce that one of our 6th year students from last year has been awarded a national award for Engineering.
At an awards ceremony in Letterkenny Co. Donegal Gearóid O’Connor was presented with The Young Engineers Award for his work in Leaving Certificate higher level Engineering.
Gearóid came first in Ireland beating off competition from 4892 other students taking Engineering as a Leaving Certificate subject in the 2017 State Examinations.
Gearóid was also awarded an internship in Randox Teoranta a R&D company in Donegal where he will get to experience Engineering in action.
This is a tremendous achievement for Gearóid and just rewards for all the hours spent in the Engineering room designing and manufacturing a Project to the highest standard imaginable.
We congratulate Gearóid on his achievement and we wish him well as he pursues his passion for Engineering in the University of Limerick where he is taking a degree in Design and Manufacture.
